My home district is Barisal, which is located in the southern part of Bangladesh. It is known as the “Venice of the East” because it has many rivers and canals. The Kirtankhola River flows by the city and adds to its natural beauty. Barisal is a very beautiful and peaceful district, full of greenery and water. Barisal is famous for rice, guavas, and hilsa fish. The floating guava market in Swarupkathi is a special attraction for visitors. Many people are farmers and fishermen, and they live simple lives. Barisal has good schools, colleges, hospitals, and many historical places. People in Barisal are kind, hardworking, and friendly. I love my home district very much because it is calm, full of nature, and has rich culture and traditions. I feel proud to be from Barisal.
