Sir,
Jakarta City is often called a city of mosquitoes. It's not possible to sit in the room at night owing to the painful stings of mosquitoes. The situation has become so grave that even in daytime one cannot remain peacefully even for a few minutes inside a room.

I think only occasional spraying of insecticides on the breeding places of mosquitoes. cannot be the real remedy. The real remedy of this problem lies in timely clearance of drains and removal of garbage. But the authority takes little care to clear the drains and remove the garbage regularly. As a result, the drains always remain full of dirty water in different parts of the city. This situation has increased the breeding of mosquitoes which has made the life of the citizens unbearable.

I should. therefore, request the authorities concerned to take effective measures immediately so that the citizens may get rid of this terrible nuisance.

Yours faithfully,
Naved Hassan
