The word “Library” is derived from the Latin word ‘Libre’ which means a book. So a library is nothing but a collection of books. Our school library is a beautiful one with almirahs arranged in lines and tables in the middle. Here books are arranged subjectwise. Books of different departments are kept in almirahs serially arranged displaying the numbers and the names of the books. Textbooks are kept on open shelves. But reference books are kept in locked almirahs. The library has many almirahs of rare collections. Thus it helps students in many ways. A school library is of great use to both the students and the teachers. Knowledge of the past thinkers, philosophers, poets and men of letters are stored in the books of library. Most of the school libraries in our countries are poor. But our school library is quite rich and has good collection of books. We should try our best to make the best use of it and to gain as much benefit from it as we can.
