Nurturing Child Caregiver Wanted for Private Home in Vancouver

A caring and responsible Child Caregiver is needed to provide support in a private family home in Vancouver, BC. The ideal candidate will help with day-to-day care, safety, and emotional development of a young child while working closely with the parents to maintain a nurturing, engaging, and organized environment.

This is a full-time, live-out role offering competitive hourly pay and the opportunity to make a positive difference in a child’s life.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and care for the child in employer’s residence
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Organize age-appropriate educational and play activities
  • Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing and dressing
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
  • Tend to emotional well-being and support positive social development
  • Take the child to/from school, activities, or outings as needed
  • Perform light housekeeping duties related to child care (e.g. laundry, tidying up toys)
  • Be available for on-call care and flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings

Requirements:

  • Education:

  • Secondary school graduation certificate (high school diploma)

  • Experience:

  • 1 to less than 7 months in a similar caregiver or nanny role

  • Language:

  • English (spoken and written)

Work Details:

  • You must work at the family’s private residence
  • No relocation provided
  • Public transit accessible
  • Must be reliable, nurturing, and comfortable managing a flexible or on-call schedule
