Work Setting:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis and suicide intervention services
  • Resolve conflict situations calmly and professionally
  • Supervise clients in group homes or halfway houses
  • Assist individuals with special needs in day-to-day activities
  • Accompany clients to appointments, community outings, or social events
  • Promote safety by evaluating environments, programs, and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work setting at all times

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • May supervise 1 to 2 individuals depending on shift

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate
  • Experience: Experience is an asset

  • Certificates Required:

  • First Aid Certificate

  • CPR Certificate

Preferred Specializations:

  • Experience assisting individuals with personal hygiene
  • Background in working with special needs students
  • Skilled in reporting and documentation
  • Professional development and training in health or social support fields

Additional Requirements:

  • Security and Safety:

    • Criminal record check

    • Recent medical examination

    • Immunization records


  • Transportation:

    • Valid driver’s license

    • Own vehicle and transportation required

  • Physical Demands:

  • Fast-paced and high-pressure environment

  • Physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
