Porsha Williams Opens Up About Dating Men and Women After Divorce: “He Is Nice and She Is Nice”

Porsha Williams Talks Life After Divorce, Dating Men and Women, and Avoiding Narcissists: "He Is Nice and She Is Nice"

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams is stepping boldly into her next chapter — and she’s doing it with authenticity, humor, and a refreshingly open mind about love.

Speaking on stage at CultureCon Brooklyn this past weekend, the reality star gave fans a surprising — and warmly received — update about her dating life following her high-profile divorce from Simon Guobadia.

“I’ve narrowed it down to two people,” Williams said during the panel. “And he is nice, and she is nice.” The crowd reacted with audible surprise, but Williams continued candidly, emphasizing that her current suitors are vastly different from what she's used to. “I really just wanted to make sure that these were normal people.”

According to Williams, this new chapter in her romantic life is less about chasing perfection and more about unlearning toxic patterns. “I’m having a hard time opening up because they’re not narcissists,” she said, drawing laughs and knowing murmurs from the audience. “And guess what narcissists do? They love bomb you. They do everything, they look perfect. They mirror you. And these people are not. They’re challenging me, asking questions. They’re not letting me walk over them. They’re not just doing whatever they need to do to get into the relationship.”

A New Era of Love for Porsha Williams

The 42-year-old Bravo star recently finalized her divorce from entrepreneur Simon Guobadia, whom she married in late 2022 after a whirlwind courtship. The couple had been engaged just one month into dating in May 2021 and wed in a lavish ceremony in November 2022. However, the marriage began to publicly unravel less than two years later, with the pair filing for divorce in February 2024. The divorce was legally finalized in June 2025.

On Season 16, Episode 2 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Williams spoke candidly about the breakdown of the relationship. “I did not know that certain things, he was lying to me about,” she said, referencing multiple red flags that emerged throughout their marriage — including alleged dishonesty and infidelity. “He told me once that he was just sitting in a car and didn’t know the car was stolen,” she shared, adding that there were also other “women in the house.”

Exploring Her Sexuality: “Do I Like Women Enough?”

While Williams’ statement at CultureCon made headlines, this isn’t the first time she’s hinted at a possible romantic interest in women. In a June 2025 interview with People, she opened up about feeling disconnected from men after her divorce. “I was lonely,” she said. “When you go through a bad enough breakup, you’re like, ‘I don't like nobody.’”

She continued, “I was sitting there, I was like, ‘Do I like women enough? Can I get with a woman? Who can come in and fill this void?’ But I don’t [have that] yet. It’ll come.”

Williams’ openness has been the subject of fan curiosity for years, particularly after fellow RHOA cast member Kandi Burruss made headlines in 2017 when she claimed, “We all know that Porsha gets down with girls.” Burruss also revealed she had her “own experience” with Williams, though Porsha never officially confirmed the rumors at the time.

A Growing Legacy of Queerness in the Housewives Universe

If Williams’ current relationships — especially her potential romance with a woman — are explored in future episodes of RHOA, she would be joining a growing number of Real Housewives stars who have embraced queerness on screen. Notable LGBTQ+ Housewives include Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Jenna Lyons, and Racquel Chevremont, who have all helped broaden the scope of queer visibility within the franchise.

For now, fans are watching closely as Porsha navigates her post-divorce glow-up with humor, honesty, and a refreshing willingness to embrace something new. Whether she ends up with “he” or “she” — or neither — the journey promises to be just as compelling as the destination.
