Industry Setting:
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic retail environment that may include:
- Hardware store
- Construction material sales
- Retail sales for home and building improvement
- Customer-facing sales and service
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in selecting appropriate building materials and tools
- Provide product knowledge, quotes, and delivery timelines
- Operate computerized inventory and ordering systems
- Accept payments through various methods (cash, cheque, debit, credit)
- Prepare and manage sales, rental, or lease contracts
- Support e-commerce transactions and online order fulfillment
- Maintain store displays and merchandise preparation
- Estimate and communicate product pricing, credit terms, and warranties
- Deliver consistent and professional customer service

Required Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience

Work Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Fast-paced retail environment with tight deadlines
- Repetitive tasks and manual dexterity required
- Lifting and handling products up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling
- Ability to distinguish between colours for accurate product handling
