Education and Experience Requirements

Applicants must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. A minimum of seven months to less than one year of welding experience is required. Key Responsibilities

The welder will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including:

Blueprint and Specification Interpretation

• Reading and analyzing welding blueprints, drawings, manuals, and process documentation
• Understanding material requirements and determining weldability of various metals

Welding, Fabrication, and Equipment Operation

• Operating hoisting and lifting equipment for material handling
• Using brakes, shears, and other metal-shaping, straightening, and bending machinery
• Working with previously set-up welding machines to fabricate, repair, or assemble metal parts and products

Quality Control and Equipment Maintenance

• Inspecting completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding, soldering, and brazing equipment
